Turn smart-meter data into trusted grid and market decisions
More energy data. More complexity. Higher expectations.
Smart meters, IoT devices and distributed energy resources are generating unprecedented volumes of granular time-series data. Legacy and fragmented systems struggle to process this data efficiently and turn it into trusted information for increasingly complex grid and market processes.
- Fragmented data processing across systems, DSOs and market participants
- Growing calculation complexity for aggregation, allocation, settlement and flexibility
- Increasing demand for timely, trusted data across grid and market operations

Process high-volume metering data at scale
Damas MMS:MDM is a centralized solution for metering data. It collects and processes high-volume, high-frequency time-series data from smart meters and other energy systems, turning raw measurements into trusted data for grid operations and market processes.
MDM handles different metering data types, granularities and processing cycles — from quarter-hourly metering data provided by DSOs at the metering-point level to minute-level metering and activation data from individual energy devices for flexibility evaluation. Data can be collected automatically through system integrations or uploaded by authorized data providers.
Metering data is validated, stored and processed throughout its lifecycle. When corrected measurements become available, MDM updates the relevant data and supports recalculation within daily, monthly or other defined market processes.
Measure and evaluate activated flexibility
Damas MMS:MDM uses metering data to calculate a baseline for each energy device or delivery point, representing the expected consumption or production without flexibility activation. Actual metering data is then compared with the baseline to determine the amount of flexibility effectively activated. Baseline and flexibility results are calculated in intraday and daily processes using the powerful TimeSeries engine.
Results are automatically published and securely shared with authorized market participants through Enelane integration layer or the MDM portal. The results of flexibility can be also downloaded from the external portal by MO, DSO, Flexibility aggregators and their BRPs or Suppliers and their BRPs.
When corrected metering data becomes available, MDM recalculates and republishes the results to ensure consistent and accurate flexibility evaluation. Configurable processes and calculations enable Damas MDM to adapt to country-specific market and regulatory requirements.
Keep metering data connected to the right market context
Damas MMS:MDM provides a central registry for metering points, market participants, contracts and energy assets, including their relationships and validity over time. It ensures that metering data is always linked to the correct technical and market context.
MDM manages business relationships between consumption and production delivery points, their assignment to market roles and energy devices, and the association of energy devices with aggregation blocks. These relationships provide the context required for metering, calculations, settlement and flexibility processes.
Master data also determines the applicable baseline type, providing essential input for baseline and flexibility calculations.
