Damas MMS:E Balancing
Damas MMS:E Balancing is a fully automated product, that ensures network stability optimization while facilitating the purchase of balancing energy from suppliers. It includes connectors to key pan-European platforms such as MARI, PICASSO and ACER, ensuring seamless system integration.
Key features
Damas MMS:E Balancing is specifically designed to support Transmission System Operators (TSOs) in maximizing their efficiency of network balancing process.
This tool enables TSOs to comply with the European Commission Regulation 2017/2195, which is in line with the "Electricity Balancing Directive".
- Offers - overview of balancing energy bidding by Balancing Service Providers (BSPs). It supports standard products (aFRR, mFRR) by default and can be extended to country-specific products. The module also supports complex and interconnected offers.
- Demands - manages the TSO's balancing energy demands and ensures seamless integration with pan-European platforms.
- Inter-zonal Capacity Limits - Manage inter-zonal capacity limits for exchange of balancing energy.
- Platform results - Settlement is performed by the European settlement platforms (MARI, PICASSO). Settlement results are received by the Damas MMS:E system and provided to the SCADA/EMS and BSP systems for activation. A backup clearing algorithm may also be included in the module.
- Unit parameterization - management of units providing buffer energy.
- Production planning - The process of preparing BSP production plans can be part of the solution and is ready to be adapted to local requirements.
